Boy! Am I Offended
Are you offended? Should you be?
"One of the definitions of offense is sin and if you are sinning then you are
offending. If you are offending, then you are sinning. Offense means scandal
in Greek. Part of a trap where bait hung that lured the victim in for entrapment.
In other words, you or someone says or does something that could cause you
or the other person to be displeased to the point of causing a riff between you.
This culminates in anger from the one being baited and causes them to sin in
anger toward you or you toward them. This comes under self-discipline which
is a gift of the Holy Spirit. If you have the Holy Spirit you will get a warning that
what you are about to say or do will or may hurt someone. You now have the
choice, do I want to take the chance of hurting this person, or do I want to
restrain my passion to say or do this thing?"
I call myself the "Queen of Offense and
Gossip".
"I call myself the "Queen of Offense" because unaware I was a very offensive
person."
Offending can be learned and passed
down from generation to generation.
