About Soul Winners For Jesus Christ
Soul Winners Started Around eight years ago as a leading of the Holy Spirit for Pastor
Scott Davidson. His heart went out for the homeless and jobless in Dayton, Ohio after
the Holy Spirit dealt with him and showed him that the life of partying, drinking, and
promiscuity was not his real destiny. His real destiny, as with us all, was service to
Jesus Christ. He felt called to a ministry where every day the Holy Spirit showed him
where his life without Christ could take him.
He started out with a bag of bananas and a Bible. Walking the streets of Dayton. Praying
for the sick and leading the lost to Christ through explanation of the Bible. Pastor
Davidson spent much time listening to the Bible recorded. Spending money and time to
memorize every page and understanding what God was saying to him through the Bible.
He realized that without the Holy Spirit within, one cannot understand the Bible and what
It really says. Then, he realized that if you do not TOTALLY surrender to Jesus Christ, you
will not obey the Holy Spirit.
From the Bible he realized that now is the time of gathering. And that the Bible states that
the poor, widows, and orphans should be taken in by the Christian Community and
taken care of.
He also realized that many today are not exposed to the Bible. That many today are
being mislead away from the Bible and God.
About this time God put a burden on his heart to travel overseas to the Holy Land. In the
Holy Land he established a missionary base with Terry McIntosh. He started a
newspaper evangelism in old Jerusalem to start a prayer revival there.
From there, Pastor Scott went to India. There He found his wife, Sister Suchiritha Scott.
He established a growing teaching of basic discipleship that has been translated into
telegu and is being used right here in Dayton, Ohio. The teachings are living and can be

In Dayton, Pastor Scott continued with his wife to spread the gospel and reach out to the
poor providing temporary housing, emergency food, ID and other services to help them
find jobs. He also started the annual Concert of Prayer to gather the ministers in the
area to pray for the world, country, state, counties, city, and communities. He participated
in and organized for several years, the National Day of Prayer in Dayton, Ohio, as well as
joining with other churches to pray throughout the city to prepare for the National Day of
Prayer.
Pastor Jim DeJonghe joined Pastor Scott's efforts several years ago and has been a
total blessing to the efforts of the organization. Pastor Jim was called to the Lord some
years ago and was lead to the children of Parkside Homes in the DMHA system where
he worked with the food bank and with the children of the area.
At Soul Winners For Jesus Christ, Pastor DeJonghe has been actively keeping the
emergency food pantry going, providing transportation, making connections for clothing,
gathering interest to other churches for support, moving those needing shelter, praying
with the sick, visiting area nursing homes, taking sick to doctor appointments and
hospitals, supporting those who need support, and allowing his wife, Pam to do the
same things when she is not driving transportation for the elderly in the town where they
live.
This organization was there for this web publisher when she lost everything she had
from health, wealth, and material possessions. Of course, that is not all we have. But, at
the time, I did not understand the concept of TOTAL surrender. I was raised in a pretty
independent environment and thought that we were in control of our lives and if we
messed it up, too bad, we would just have to pay the consequences.
Starving, I wandered in to the little mission and found Jesus waiting with out stretched
arms. I hadn't cried for five years. I sure did that night. Today, I am proud to be a part of
this truly real organization! I was fed food physically. But, the spiritual food was what I
had needed so desperately for so long. Thank you, Jesus for Soul Winners For Jesus
